Growing Grace
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen."
2 Pet. 3:18 (NIV)
Expansion Plans
Founded in 1967, Grace Baptist has been at its present location since 1971. In April 2009, we started an expansion and remodeling project as Phase 1 of a three-phase goal (spread out over the next 10-15 years) for the church campus.
We added almost 3,500 square feet of new space in Phase 1A, providing more room for our growing teen and older youth education ministries, creating a choir room, and expanding space dedicated to adult education.
We remodeled almost 4,000 square feet of old space in Phases 1C and 1D. The redesigned area has provided a much larger secure space for our younger children, more than doubling our nursery and preschool space for education. The dedicated children’s hallway also means much more room for parents and families dropping off and picking up their children.
Phase 1 was completed and dedicated in January 2010.
Looking ahead, further expansion plans include:
- Phase 2, which includes new worship, family life, teen, kitchen, and office space.
- Phase 3, which includes construction of an activity center.
An average of 175 people attend our Sunday morning services, and we intend, Lord willing, to grow to about 350 worshippers at our current site.

Christian Education
As Grace Baptist grows outwardly, church leaders continue to emphasize inward growth through Sunday school and other classes/opportunities for students of every age.
A recently developed lifelong learning plan centered around Paul's charge to be rooted and built up in Christ and established in the faith (Col. 2:6-7) provides the framework for the adult Sunday school ministry. Classes for each stage have been planned through 2010 and will be offered on a rotating basis.
- Classes at the ROOTED level are intended to help develop convictions for a personal relationship with God and His family, the local church. These classes will introduce and reinforce fundamental doctrines and beliefs of the Christian faith, ground believers in the biblical accounts, and help connect smaller accounts to the larger theme of God's redemptive plan. Classes include Old Testament and New Testament surveys and church membership/baptismal sessions.
- Classes at the BUILT UP level emphasize growing in the Fruit of the Spirit, faith, knowledge, and fellowship. Classes include a BILD First Principles track (books 1-8) and ongoing electives offered throughout the year that can be taken in any order.
- Classes at the ESTABLISHED level are geared toward mature believers who could teach and lead in various ministry capacities. Classes include off-campus Bible studies and various enrichment courses.
